From a client.

“Bill transitioned our website to Shopify from an antiquated platform. It was a risky move, but Bill made it all worth it. We have a unique and complicated subscription model and he found a way to make it work for us.

In addition, he automated our reporting systems and internal processes that were previously handled manually. The changes he made saved us significant time and improved operational efficiency.

Bill has an analytical mind and he won't stop until he delivers a functionality I ask for or resolves an issue. Bill continues to be my go-to developer.”

Bill Sutherland, the person behind Wannawow

The person behind Wannawow

Hi, I’m Bill Sutherland.

I build websites, Shopify stores, and custom apps around what a business needs to do. Sometimes that means replacing an aging website. Sometimes it means sorting out the ordering process, the staff calendar, or the idea that has outgrown its spreadsheet.

I also build and run projects of my own, including Forgot To Press Send and BarTag. That firsthand experience helps me connect the design and development work to the practical details of running a store or an app.

With Wannawow, you work directly with me—from the first conversation through the agreed build and handoff. I’ll help you work out what’s useful, explain the decisions in plain English, and agree on the scope and schedule before starting.

Tell me what you have in mind

How we work together.

Start with a conversation. You don’t need a perfectly written brief.

  1. Tell me what you need

Tell me what you’re building, what’s getting in the way, or what you’ve been meaning to get around to.

  2. Agree on the plan

We agree on the work, what you’ll need to provide, the price, and the schedule before any payment.

  3. Build and launch

Once you approve the plan, I’ll send the invoice, schedule the work, and review it with you before launch.

Hosting and domain fees are separate. Premium may also require paid third-party services, agreed with you in advance. Bring photos of your business or products; phone photos are fine. I can help with wording and a logo within the agreed scope.

What have you been meaning to sort out?

Send a note or tell me about your project. A few lines about the site, store, or idea are enough. We can figure out the technical vocabulary later.
